Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University
Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University is a public state university located in Chennai, India. It was established in 1997 by the Government of Tamil Nadu by an Act of State Legislature. It is named after Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, an Indian legal specialist of the 20th century.

At the Post-graduate level, the university has Departments in Business Law, Labour and Administrative Law, Constitutional Law and Human Rights, Intellectual Property Rights, International Law, Environmental Law, Criminal Law, Human Rights and Duties Education Center for Human Rights.〔(POST GRADUATE DEPARTMENTS ), Official Website〕 For each programme, 20 students will be admitted following state's reservation policy. General Eligibility conditions for admission to Post-graduate programme is as per the UGC Regulations, 2001. M.L. Degree Course shall be of minimum two academic years, each year consists of two semesters. The university is a pioneer in legal research and currently has 100 research scholars. The vice Chancellor is keen on promoting research.
